A chilling silence hangs over Nigeria as hundreds of Christians languish in Fulani-run terror camps—starved, beaten, and executed while the Nigerian government and international media look the other way. What advocates are calling a genocide is unfolding in real time, yet global elites refuse to speak the truth: this is not about climate change or “farmer-herder disputes.” This is jihad—an orchestrated assault on Christianity in Africa’s largest democracy, one that bears prophetic weight and reveals the hand of globalist powers who profit from chaos.
The Forest of Death
According to Truth Nigeria, a watchdog project of Equipping The Persecuted, there are at least 11 major terror camps in the Rijana Forest of Kaduna State, each holding over 50 captives. That means more than 500 men, women, and children are currently chained, starved, and brutalized inside makeshift prisons run by radical Fulani militias. Thousands have already passed through these camps since December 2024, many never making it out alive.
Survivors describe being barely fed, regularly beaten, and forced to watch fellow captives executed when their families could not pay ransom. One mother, Esther, recounted how Fulani gunmen abducted her and her 10-month-old daughter from Gaude village. Captors threatened to smother her crying baby, banned her from praying in Jesus’ name, and killed two fellow prisoners before her eyes. By God’s grace, Esther was released in late August, but countless others remain in bondage.
A Government That Looks Away
Advocates allege the Nigerian government knows exactly where these camps are—but does nothing. Douglas Burton, senior editor of Truth Nigeria, declared:
“The conditions are indeed horrifying. One of the most horrifying things is that the Nigerian government has not acknowledged our reporting, has not responded to our telephone calls, has not been able to help rescue any of these people.”
Judd Saul, executive director of Equipping The Persecuted, bluntly stated:
“The people that are doing the killing, the kidnapping, and taking over Christian communities are the Fulani ethnic militia. This is a jihadist Muslim tribe that is hell-bent on turning Nigeria into a caliphate.”
Yet Nigerian officials, backed by a complicit press, dismiss the carnage as “farmer-herder clashes.” Even worse, whistleblowers say the government pays off journalists to bury the truth, ensuring the international community never sees the scale of the horror.
The Globalist Narrative: Blame Climate Change
Notice the pattern: whenever Christians are slaughtered in Nigeria, elites in Washington, Brussels, and the UN reframe the crisis as “climate conflict.” The narrative goes like this: rising temperatures force Fulani herders southward, causing disputes with Christian farmers. But as Saul warned:
“This isn’t climate change, this isn’t farmer-herder clashes, or any of these other nebulous groups or situations that are applied to this. No, this is radical Islamists practicing a real-life jihad in front of our own eyes. And unless something is done now and soon, millions of Christians are going to die.”
The climate cover story allows globalist NGOs to demand more centralized control, more “green” funding, and more foreign aid siphoned off by corrupt officials—all while silencing those who dare say the word “jihad.”
Prophetic Implications
The Bible foretells that in the last days, Christians would be hated, hunted, and killed for the name of Christ (Matthew 24:9). What we are seeing in Nigeria is not an isolated tragedy—it is part of the global persecution of the church, a prelude to the Antichrist system. Revelation 6 describes martyrs crying out under the altar, asking how long until God avenges their blood. The voices of Nigerian Christians join that prophetic chorus today.
At the same time, the refusal of world powers to intervene—or even acknowledge the truth—shows how global elites are united in suppressing Christianity while empowering Islamist radicals. The same forces that push for a one-world government, digital IDs, and surveillance states are also enabling the extermination of believers in regions like Nigeria.
What Must Be Done
Speakers at the Capitol Hill press conference demanded that the U.S. State Department reinstate Nigeria on its “Countries of Particular Concern” list for religious freedom violations. Nigeria was removed in 2021 under Joe Biden, despite rising massacres. That decision sent a message to radicals: kill Christians with impunity.
The international community must also cut off financial sponsors of Fulani terror groups, hold the Nigerian government accountable for its silence, and empower local Christian communities to defend themselves.
But beyond politics, the church must awaken. Western believers cannot ignore the cries of Nigerian brothers and sisters. Their persecution is a warning of what will spread globally as anti-Christian hatred escalates. The blood of the martyrs is crying out—and God is watching how we respond.
