A newly published peer-reviewed study has brought renewed attention to reports from embalmers in five English-speaking countries who say they have observed unusual white fibrous structures in the veins and arteries of deceased individuals during the embalming process.

Published in the International Journal of Innovative Research in Medical Science, the study surveyed active embalmers across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand over four consecutive years from 2022 through 2025. The researchers say their goal was to document what embalmers were observing—not to determine the cause of the reported findings.

What the Survey Reported

The research team—led by retired U.S. Air Force Major Thomas F. Haviland, along with Lauro Kasner and Dr. Daniel Santiago—received responses from 808 embalmers over the course of the four annual surveys.

Among the study’s reported findings:

  • 75.2% of respondents said they had observed unusual white fibrous structures during embalming.
  • Respondents estimated the structures appeared in approximately 23.4% of embalmed bodies.
  • The reported structures were described as white or off-white, rubbery, durable, and sometimes measuring several inches to more than a foot in length.
  • Many respondents stated the structures differed from traditional postmortem “chicken-fat” and “currant-jelly” blood clots commonly encountered during embalming procedures.

The authors emphasized that these findings are based on survey responses from embalmers and document reported observations rather than establishing the origin or cause of the structures.

Laboratory Analysis Examined Representative Samples

A second paper published alongside the survey examined representative samples of the reported structures using laboratory techniques including Raman micro-spectroscopy, protein analysis, and amino acid profiling.

According to the researchers, the samples demonstrated strong protein signatures and characteristics that appeared different from conventional postmortem blood clots.

The investigators suggested the material may represent atypical protein aggregates and reported evidence consistent with progressive structural changes over time.

However, the authors also cautioned that additional testing is required before these structures can be definitively classified or linked to any specific biological process.

Timing Raises Questions—but Not Conclusions

One aspect of the survey receiving significant public attention involves when embalmers reported first noticing the structures.

According to the survey responses, reports increased substantially beginning in 2020 and accelerated during 2021. The study notes that this period coincided with the global COVID-19 pandemic and widespread COVID-19 vaccination campaigns.

The researchers reported the timing as an observation. They did not conclude that the vaccines caused the structures, and they stated that further forensic, pathological, and biomedical investigation is needed to determine their origin.

Medical researchers generally caution that temporal association alone does not establish causation, and determining whether any relationship exists requires controlled clinical and pathological studies.

Sen. Ron Johnson Calls for Greater Investigation

The publication comes as Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) continues pressing federal health agencies regarding their handling of COVID-19 vaccine safety monitoring.

Following a Senate hearing earlier this year examining vaccine safety oversight, Johnson wrote on social media that he believes the federal government’s response represents one of the most significant public health controversies of his lifetime.

Johnson has called for broader investigation into vaccine safety reporting, adverse event monitoring, and government transparency.

His statements reflect his views and ongoing oversight efforts and are separate from the findings reported in the embalmer survey.

Researchers Call for More Scientific Study

Perhaps the study’s most significant conclusion is not what it claims to have proven, but what it says still needs to be investigated.

The authors recommend:

  • Independent forensic pathology examinations
  • Additional laboratory characterization of the structures
  • Broader biomedical research
  • Replication of findings by other investigators
  • Continued scientific evaluation using standardized methods

Whether future research confirms, refines, or challenges these findings, the researchers argue that documenting and studying unusual observations remains an important part of scientific inquiry.

Why the Study Matters

Peer-reviewed publication does not automatically establish that a hypothesis is correct. Instead, it allows researchers to present methods and findings for scrutiny, discussion, replication, and further investigation by the broader scientific community.

The embalmer survey contributes observational data to an ongoing discussion about postmortem findings and highlights questions that researchers say warrant additional examination.

Whether future studies ultimately confirm these observations, identify alternative explanations, or reach different conclusions, additional evidence will be necessary before definitive causal claims can be made.

Prophetic Perspective

Scripture reminds believers that truth ultimately withstands examination. Christians are encouraged to seek wisdom, exercise discernment, and avoid both unquestioning acceptance and premature conclusions.

“Test everything; hold fast what is good.”1 Thessalonians 5:21

As debates continue over public health, scientific transparency, and government accountability, believers are reminded to pursue truth with humility while placing their confidence in God rather than human institutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What did the study examine?
The researchers surveyed embalmers in five countries regarding unusual fibrous structures reportedly observed during embalming procedures.

Did the study conclude what caused the structures?
No. The authors documented reported observations and called for additional research rather than identifying a definitive cause.

How many embalmers participated?
A total of 808 embalmers responded across four annual survey periods between 2022 and 2025.

Were laboratory tests performed?
Yes. A companion paper analyzed representative samples and reported findings suggesting the structures differ from conventional postmortem blood clots, while emphasizing that further research is needed.

Why is this receiving attention?
The survey and companion paper have drawn interest because they document observations reported by many embalmers and have prompted calls from some researchers and public officials for additional scientific investigation.

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)
Vitamin D3
Quercetin
Cats Claw
Nicotine
Bromelain
Curcumin

Dr. McCullough recommends taking this treatment triad for at least three months for anyone suffering from or worried about post-COVID or post-vaccine syndromes.

NattokinaseBromelain, and Curcumin are available over the counter at just about any health food store or pharmacy.

Selenium
Dandelion Root
Black Sativa Extract (may facilitate cellular repair)
Green Tea Extract (provides added defenses at the cellular level through scavenging for free radicals)

In an acute emergency, if you get Covid, Dr Ardis suggests taking low doses of Nicotine in the form of LozengesGum, or Patches for a few days until symptoms subside
